Montana Landlord-Tenant Law FAQ’s
: In the 2009 legislative session the law in section MCA 70-24-303 (the section of the law that specifies the landlord’s duty to maintain premises) was amended to include the need for a landlord to provide a carbon monoxide detector in rental units in accordance Department of Labor and Industry standards. However, at the time the law was enacted (October 1st 2009), the Department of Labor and Industry standards did not yet exist. This led to state-wide misconceptions and questions about the carbon monoxide requirements in rental units. These Department of Labor and Industry regulations now exist (effective from October 15th 2010) and are the focus of this FAQ.

First: Get registered
Submit your username
and email address
using our registration page.
A verification email will be sent to you. Check your email inbox or junk folder to find the link to verify your registration. This email will also include your password to login. Once you have verified your account you are ready for the next step.
Second: Login and post your article
Click on the green “Login” button at the top right of the YPMA website. After logging in, hover over “Yellowstone Property Managers Assoc…” in the top left and click on “Dashboard.” Then your dashboard will appear.
In the upper left of your dashboard hover over “Posts” then click on “Add New.” Give your post a title, then write 2 or 3 paragraphs, or more if necessary to convey your thoughts. We will review your article before posting it to our site. We may contact you if we have questions. Thanks for sharing your ideas and expertise!!
